Forever I Dance With You

You stretch out your gentle yet powerful hand
You invite me into the dance of a life time
You patiently await my timid hand.

I am held by your hands,
dancing in your arms.
Your warmth and firmness makes me wonder why I ever questioned this dance.

The room is crowded,
and the music is loud.
But as we spin and twirl, it all begins to fade.

The crowd becomes blurry,
and the music goes quiet.
For all I can focus on is your firm hold.

When I misstep, you redirect my feet
You reestablish who is leading this dance.

Forever you are leading.
Forever I dance with you.

A poem from a couple weeks ago. I used to really really dislike poetry but recently it has been such a sweet area I have been able to meet with the Father.
I encourage you to use/find a creative outlet in seeking His presence!

  1. Bree, your poem is beauty and moving!!! I love the imagery and how you bring the reader from the chaotic to the quiet; ending in the firm grasp of their dance partner – our strong loving father!! AWESOME!!!

  2. Well, well, well, look who likes poetry now 😉 What a beautiful discovery! I love the peace and trust in this- so calming in its strength. So thankful that you are resting in His arms and letting Him lovingly lead you. 143
